PRIVACY POLICY
Family Focus
Effective Date: April 22, 2026
Last Updated: April 22, 2026
1. WHO WE ARE
Family Focus ("the App") is operated by ElevenFortyFive, LLC ("we," "us," or "the Company"). We are the developers and operators of Family Focus, a mobile application designed to help separated or divorced parents communicate, coordinate, and maintain reliable records about their shared co-parenting responsibilities.
Contact: support@familyfocusapp.com
Address: ElevenFortyFive, LLC, 36 Good Ground Road, Hampton Bays, NY 11946
This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who has access to it, and your rights regarding your data.
2. OUR CORE COMMITMENT: NON-ACCESS TO YOUR FAMILY'S PRIVATE DATA
We designed Family Focus with the explicit principle that the content of your family's private communications, records, and documents should not be read, monitored, or accessed by us.
You should understand the technical reality and our binding commitments:
The Technical Reality
Family Focus stores user data on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure (specifically, Google's Firebase services). As the operators of the application, we have administrative-level access to the underlying infrastructure. This is true of virtually every cloud-hosted application. We would be dishonest to claim we are technically incapable of viewing stored data.
Our Binding Commitments
Notwithstanding the above technical capability, we commit to the following:
1. We do not and will not read, review, or monitor the content of user messages, custody schedules, expenses, documents, or any other family-specific data stored in the App, except in the limited circumstances described in Section 7 below.
2. We do not use user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, analytics of content, or training any machine-learning model. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to any third party.
3. We do not have any user-facing tool or internal dashboard that exposes the contents of user messages or documents to our staff. Engineering access to raw data storage is logged and restricted.
4. Your data is segregated by family. Access to any family's data requires authentication as a member of that family. Our security rules, enforced at the database level, prevent users from accessing families they are not members of.
Conflict-of-Interest Protection
The operator of this Company is also a practicing attorney. We recognize that this could create a theoretical conflict of interest if a user of Family Focus were to become adverse to the Company or its principals in a legal matter.
We therefore make the following additional, express commitments:
1. We will not access, review, export, or otherwise use any user's Family Focus data for any legal matter in which the Company, its principals, or its affiliates are a party, counsel, or interested participant.
2. If you believe you are or may become adverse to the Company or its principals in a legal proceeding, you may request in writing that we implement heightened access restrictions on your account. We will implement reasonable technical safeguards and confirm in writing.
3. We maintain internal audit logs of any administrative data access, reviewable upon reasonable request by a user with a legitimate claim.
4. We do not represent users of Family Focus as legal counsel. Use of this App does not create an attorney-client relationship with the operator or any affiliated attorney.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information You Provide
When you create an account and use Family Focus, we collect:
- Authentication information: email address, name (optional), and authentication provider (email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google).
- Profile information: display name you choose.
- Family setup information: the 6-digit invite code used to link co-parents, and the identities of family members.
- User-generated content: messages, custody event entries, expense entries, and uploaded documents or photos. This content is the private communication between co-parents and is not accessed by us except as described in Section 7.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens used to send push notifications to your device.
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs: if the App crashes, limited diagnostic information may be sent to us via Firebase Crashlytics (if enabled) to help us fix bugs. This does not include the content of messages or documents.
- Timestamps: messages and other records are stamped with the server time they are created.
Information from Third-Party Sign-In Providers
If you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers share with us: your name (optional), email address, and a unique user identifier. We do not receive your password. See Section 9 for more on these providers.
Information About Children
Family Focus is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, or legal representatives) to coordinate the care of minor children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If you, as a parent, enter information about a child (for example, a note about pickup times, a school record, a medical document), that information is treated the same as any other user-generated content: stored privately within your family's space, not reviewed or accessed by us except as described in Section 7.
If you believe a child has directly created an account on Family Focus, please contact us at [support email] and we will delete the account.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect only to:
1. Provide the App's functionality: authenticate you, connect you with your co-parent, store your shared data, and deliver push notifications.
2. Communicate with you about technical issues, security incidents, or material changes to this Policy.
3. Maintain the integrity and security of the service, including preventing fraud and abuse.
4. Comply with legal obligations, as described in Section 7.
We do not use your information for advertising, behavioral profiling, content-based analytics, or AI/ML training.
5. HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED
With Your Co-Parent
The core function of the App is to share information between you and your linked co-parent. When you send a message, add a schedule event, log an expense, or upload a document, that content is shared with and accessible to the other member(s) of your family unit. This is by design and is the primary use of the App.
With Our Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers to operate the App:
- Google LLC (Firebase): hosts our authentication, database, file storage, and push notification infrastructure. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor and is contractually bound to security and confidentiality obligations. See Google's privacy practices at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Apple, Inc.: if you use Sign in with Apple.
- Google LLC (Sign-In): if you use Sign in with Google.
These providers receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their function.
For Legal Reasons
We may disclose information when we have a good-faith belief that doing so is legally required, such as in response to:
- A valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful request from a government authority.
- A legal process to enforce our Terms of Service.
- A claim or investigation of fraud or abuse.
Where permitted by law, we will notify affected users prior to such disclosure so they may seek to quash, limit, or contest the request.
With Your Consent
We will share information with additional parties only with your explicit, informed consent.
We Do Not Share
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or marketers.
- We do not share your data with our own legal counsel or affiliates for any purpose, except where you have individually retained us for an unrelated legal matter and have provided separate written authorization.
6. DATA STORAGE, SECURITY, AND INTEGRITY
Where Your Data Lives
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, primarily in United States data centers (multi-region). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (Google-managed encryption).
Security Rules
Our database and file storage use server-enforced security rules that prevent any user from accessing another family's data, regardless of client-side behavior.
Tamper-Proof Message Records
Messages in Family Focus are designed to be tamper-proof. Our database rules permit only the creation of messages; messages cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including us. Every message carries an immutable server timestamp. This is an architectural property, not merely a policy.
No Deletion Guarantee of Shared Records
Because the App is designed for co-parenting arrangements where reliable records may be material to custody or support matters, messages you send cannot be unilaterally deleted by you. If you delete your account, your historical messages will remain accessible to your co-parent, with your attribution, but your account-level identifiers will be removed or pseudonymized where feasible.
Data Retention
Family records are retained for as long as the family exists. If both members of a family delete their accounts, family data becomes orphaned and is retained for a period sufficient to address legal obligations, after which it may be deleted.
Breach Notification
If we discover a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable regulators in accordance with applicable law.
7. THE LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE WE MAY ACCESS DATA
Notwithstanding Section 2, there are limited circumstances in which our engineering staff may technically access stored data:
1. Legal compulsion: when validly served with a subpoena, court order, or lawful request for specific data. Where permitted by law, we will provide affected users with notice prior to production.
2. Security investigation: when investigating a specific, documented security incident (such as account compromise, fraud, or abuse) and only to the minimum extent necessary.
3. Explicit user request: when a user has contacted us with a specific technical problem and has given explicit, informed consent for us to examine specific data to resolve it.
4. Operational necessity: to restore data from backups, migrate systems, or respond to an infrastructure emergency. Such access is limited to system administrators, logged, and does not involve reading user content.
In no other circumstances will we access the content of your family's private data.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal identifiers (subject to the limitations in Section 6 regarding shared family records).
- Export: receive an export of your personal data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw consent for processing where processing is based on consent.
- Object to processing: object to certain types of processing.
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [support email]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days).
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the specific rights described above. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.
European Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your personal information is (a) performance of the contract to provide you the App, (b) your consent where applicable, and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Firebase (Google Cloud)
We use Firebase for authentication, database (Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), push notifications (Cloud Messaging), and serverless compute (Cloud Functions). Firebase's privacy practices are described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Other
The App does not use third-party advertising networks, analytics for user profiling, or tracking pixels.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by in-app notice or email at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
Continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
11. NOT LEGAL ADVICE
Family Focus is a tool for communication and record-keeping. It does not provide legal advice. Use of this App does not establish an attorney-client relationship with the operator, ElevenFortyFive, LLC, its principals, or any affiliated attorney. If you need legal advice regarding your custody, support, or co-parenting matter, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
