Follow these simple instructions to delete your Family Focus account.
Family Focus, lets you delete your account and associated personal information directly from within the app at any time. This page explains how.
How to delete your account
From the Family Focus app on your iPhone or Android device:

Open the Family Focus app and sign in to your account.

Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of any main screen.

Tap Settings.

Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.

Confirm the deletion when prompted. You may be asked to re-enter your password or re-authenticate with Apple/Google for security.

Your account is removed immediately. You will be signed out and returned to the welcome screen.
If you can't access the app for any reason (lost phone, locked out, etc.), email support@familyfocusapp.com with the email address associated with your account, and we will process the deletion request on your behalf within 30 days.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following information is removed or pseudonymized:

Your email address and account login credentials

Your display name and profile information
-
Your account-level identifiers (Firebase user ID and FCM push notification token)
-
Your active subscription association (subscription cancellation must be done through Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings)
What is retained, and why
Family Focus is a co-parenting communication and record-keeping app. Messages and shared records you created are part of a shared family record between you and your co-parent. Because these records may be material to ongoing custody, support, or legal matters for the other parent, certain content is retained even after you delete your account:

Messages you sent remain accessible to your co-parent within their family view, with your name shown as the sender. This preserves the integrity of the shared communication record for the other party. Your account-level identifiers (email, login info) are removed; only your display name remains attached to your past messages.

Calendar events, expense records, and documents you created remain in the family's shared records for the same reason.

Backups of family data may be retained on our infrastructure for a period not exceeding 90 days for disaster recovery purposes, after which they are deleted.
If both you and your co-parent delete your accounts, the family data becomes orphaned and is automatically deleted within 90 days.
Subscription cancellation
Deleting your Family Focus account does not automatically cancel any active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google (whichever you purchased through), and must be cancelled separately:

Apple App Store: open Settings → tap your name at the top → tap Subscriptions → select Family Focus → tap Cancel Subscription.

Google Play: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → tap Payments & subscriptions → tap Subscriptions → select Family Focus → tap Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again. Removing the app from your device does not cancel your subscription.
